The President of Itsekiri National Youth Council, Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac has called on all Deltans particularly the Itsekiri populace to strictly follow the directives of the Government and other Constituted Bodies in order to stay alive, even as the Corona Virus spread is gaining momentum in Nigeria.

He made this appeal on Friday March 27, 2020 during a phone interview with Warri Voice newspaper, following the recent Delta State measures to curb the spread of the disease in the State.

"My advice to Itsekiri youths and by extension to all deltans is to adhere strictly to and observe all directives from constituted authorities most importantly advice/directives from federal and state government and also professional bodies like world health organisation that are saddled with the responsibilities to manage such situations so that they don't get out of hand." He advised.

"We as a council have directed all our chapters executive that are spread across the length and breadth of Warri kingdom to help in this sensitization and awareness campaign where ever they are so that our Itsekiri people can be compliant on all the directives given by government at various level and of couse those from regulatory authorities like the world health organisation (W.H.O) etc, as they are intended to ensure the safety of the lives of our people," he further stated, even as he added that "they are also expected to work together with local government authority in their chapter to achieve maximum result for the Itsekiri people."
