A renown businessman and philanthropist in the Niger Delta, Chief Brown Odeworitse Tesiginmoje has bagged the prestigious Delta Grassroots Media Award of Excellence for distinguishing himself as lover of humanity and people oriented leader.

While receiving the award from Delta Guild of Indigenous Newspaper Publishers at his residence in Warri recently, Chief Tesiginmoje said that the award came to him as a surprise, stressing that the award would spur him to do more for humanity.

He noted that the task of bringing about meaningful development in our society should be the concern of everybody, stressing that our leaders has great role to play.

He promised to continue to assist the needy in the society and continue to be a voice of reasoning for peace and development of Nigeria.

Chief Tesiginmoje pointed out that there is virtue in hard work and honesty and urged Nigerians, especially parents, teachers, traditional and religious leaders as well as political leaders to promote honesty, peace, unity and discipline at all times.

He thanked the Delta Guild of Indigenous Newspaper Publishers for considering him worthy of the prestigious award.

In his brief speech before bestowing the award on the recipient, the president of Delta Guild of Indigenous Newspaper Publishers, Mr. Femi Odonmeta said that the outstanding contributions of the recipient to the social–economic development of the state and his philanthropic gestures has prompted the Guild to bestow Chief Tesiginmoje this prestigious award.

He noted that as Media Executive, they have been saddled with the duty of promoting and showcasing the development stories of both the government as well as the laudable contributions of corporate organizations and individuals that have distinguished themselves in the society.
