Iwere Women Prayer Network holds second edition of Prayer retreat in Warri
Iwere Women Prayer Network under the leadership of her Majesty, Olori Atuwatse III, has again organised a prayer retreat to intercede for Iwere land and for God to sustain His victory songs in the nooks and crannies of all Itsekiri communities.
The one day prayer retreat with the theme 'Victory at last' which was held on Wednesday December 15, 2021 at the Olu Palace(Aghofen) Warri, had in attendance wives of Chiefs from Warri kingdom and other prominent Itsekiri women from within the three Warri Local Government Areas.

In her victory speech, the convener of the prayer retreat, Her Majesty, Olori Atuwatse III thanked the women for taking out time to pray for their king and Itsekiri nation adding that Ogiame Atuwatse III has been divinely crowned by God to take Warri kingdom to a glorious and enviable future.
She admonished the women not to relent in their prayers, saying that when women gather to pray, things changes for good in the land even as she declared Iwere land a fruitful field.
Earlier in her opening remarks, the Coordinator of the programme, Pastor (Mrs.) Juliet Olley stated that women are the voice and salt of Iwere nation.
She thanked Olori Atuwatse III for giving women the opportunity to gather and pray for the peace and progress of Warri kingdom, adding that the prayer retreat is a platform for the gospel of Christ to be preached in Iwere land.
In the same vein, Rev. Blaise Aboyowa who took his sermon from the book of Judges 6 verse 26-27, declared that Itsekiris must follow divine direction in order to sustain the victory that God has brought to the land and not to be carried away by it.
Rev. Aboyowa further charged the entire Itsekiri nation not to relent in prayers because the enemies of the kingdom are watching tirelessly to strike.
Warri Voice Newspaper can state authoritatively that the women who attended the prayer retreat prayed earnestly during the different sections of prayers for the King and the land.
