TENUMAH BAGS TWO HUMANITARIAN SERVICE AWARDS


Ajudabo Community in Warri South-West Local Government Area has honoured one of her own, Mr. Monday Tenumah, Chief Executive Officer of Esimon Nig. Company with the conferment of Community Service Award in recognition of his immense contributions to the community. 

The award was presented to Mr. Monday Tenumah in a colourful ceremony held at Ajudaibo Community on Friday November 18, 2021. 

While presenting the award to Mr. Monday Tenumah, the acting Olare-Aja of the community, Pa. R.A.U Edema commended the recipient and appealed to all indigenes and friends of the community to copy from the good example of Mr. Monday Tenumah. Responding Mr. Monday Tenumah thanked the community for recognizing his little contributions to the community. 

In the same vein, the Management and Students of Udaibo Primary School, Ajudaibo has also conferred Distinguished Service Award on Mr. Monday Tenumah in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the School and educational support to the students over the years.

The head teacher of the School, Mrs. Lilian Ani Sagay-Temetah who presented the award on behalf of the school emphasised that the encouragement of Mr. Monday Tenumah in the school over the years has been boosting the morals of both the teachers and pupils and prayed that the good Lord will reward him for his good-works. 

She also used the opportunity to point out the problems of the pupils which include lack of text books and insufficient exercise books.
 
Responding, Mr. Monday Tenumah thanked the teachers and pupils for the unique award presented to him saying that he would cherish the award all his life. 

He assured that he would continue to use his God given resources for the benefit of his community, just as he sent a passionate appeal to others to continue to look inward to develop the School.
 
Mr. Monday Tenumah also commended the teachers in their efforts to develop the children adding that like Oliver Twist, they want more from the teachers. 

The children in return thanked Mr. Monday Tenumah with a beautiful song tendered in the name of Tenumah.
 
Educational materials donated by Mr.  Monday Tenumah to the pupils of the School include: Dozens of  notebooks, Packets of white board marker, Packets of biro, Box of pencils, Two footballs, Packets of eraser, Tippex fluid, Cello tapes, Masking tapes  and bub gum.
Mr. Tenumah has also taken the pains to beautify the School by painting all the classrooms (inside and outside) including the toilets as well as fixing of doors with keys in the un-completed buildings.
  
In the same vein, he has also been taken care of the maintenance of the existing School Building, monthly payment of the clearing of grasses surrounding the School premises and the provision of sporting materials and toiletries to the School.

It would be recalled that this humanitarian service embarked by Mr. Tenumah is a yearly exercise which he has been doing for the interest of the School and Community for the past years.
