 IKPERE-ALE MEJE WOMEN TRADERS ASSOCIATION, UGBORODO SWEAR-IN NEW EXECUTIVES 


Ikpere-Ale Meje Women Traders Association has sworn-in new executives that will pilot the affairs of the Association for the next four (4) years.

 

The swearing in ceremony which took place today at the Ugborodo House Ajamimogha, was done by the out-going leader of the Association, Chief (Mrs) Mercy Olowu.

Shortly before the swearing in ceremony, founder of the group, Chief (Mrs) Mercy Olowu while swearing in the new executives, stated that as directed by the Olu, election should not tear the Association apart, they therefore gave out four key positions to the opposition group inspite of their absence at the venue.

 

In her acceptance speech, the newly sworn-in leader, Madam Oritsematosan Nuko thanked the out-going executives for keeping the Association united, strong, vibrant and promised to take the Association to a higher level. She enjoined members of the opposition to join hands with them to keep the ship sailing to the benefit of the larger Ugborodo Community in general.

Olu of Warri doles out POS Machines for business growth in Delta 



His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, the Olu of Warri alongside his Olori have given free Point of Sale (POS) Machines to small scale business owners in Warri Kingdom irrespective of tribal affiliation.

 

The empowerment Programme which was done in collaboration with Stanbic IBTC, where over 1000 POS Machines were distributed to beneficiaries comprising of men, women, widows and youths took place on Monday April 4, 2022 at Olu’s Palace field, Warri.

In his brief speech, the Olu of Warri prayed and appreciated the beneficiaries for their self determination in providing for themselves, just as he assured the people of better days to come.

 

The Olu of Warri who spoke from his heart stated further that “If I have millions of dollars, I will make sure that I give them all to you. What I have I give it all to you today. This empowerment items you will receive today, God will give you wisdom to use them; you will see the prosperity that it will bring into your lives.”

 

 

Earlier in his speech, the Regional Agent, Network Manager, South Region of Stanbic IBTC Bank PLC, Mr. Perebor Awoju, appreciated the Olu of Warri and his Olori for the opportunity to be a part of their vision to create value and impact lives of the people of Warri Kingdom.

Oritsema Nuko emerges Women Leader of Ikpere-Alemeje Traders Association


Madam Oritsema Nuko has emerged the new Women Leader  of  Ikpere-Alemeje  Traders  Association following the just concluded election  held on Saturday April 2, 2022  at Ugborodo Town Hall where she pulled a total of 239 votes to give her a grand victory against her opponent, Mrs. Helen Tiemo alias Ugbekoro who got 95 votes.

 

In her acceptance speech, the new Women Leader of the famous Ugborodo group thanked God Almighty,  the Olu of Warri and his Council of Chiefs who took out time to ensure a peaceful and successful election, particularly the good women of Ugborodo Community for coming out  enmasse to exercise their franchise and making her their preferred choice.

 

Speaking to Warri Voice Correspondence shortly after the election, the founder and a one time Women leader of the group, Chief Mercy Olowu, the Utukpa Oritse-erun of Warri kingdom advised the new Women Leader to unite all members of the Association together for the group to move forward.

Ugbolokposo Community gets free Medical Care


Olori Atuwatse III has again provided free medical treatment and palliative care to over 300  people through her “Wuwu Ore Initiative” programme aimed at providing health care services to her people.

The exercise which took place at Ugbolokposo community in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State was attended by youth, women and adults of the community with lots of medical doctors on ground to attend to patients .

 


While addressing the people of Ugbolokposo community,Olori Atuwatse III said that the medical outreach was aimed at making health care delivery more accessible to all, especially those who cannot afford it, assuring that the Programme will be a continuous exercise until all communities in Warri Kingdom benefits from it.

Earlier in his address, Chairman of  Ugbolokposo community, Mr. Emmanuel Atserunboghoma thanked  Olori Atuwatse III for her kind gesture, saying that it is the first time in the  history of the community that they are experiencing such Royal benevolence.

The Coordinator of the program Dr. Otake Owe disclosed that the health services provided by the Olori includes hematocrit (paked cell volume) screenings, full blood count screening, malaria screening, blood glucose screening, urine analysis, retroviral screening, etc.

 

Speaking on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Japheth Okotie appreciated Olori Atuwatse III for bringing succor to the people.
