Iwere Women Prayer Network Celebrates One Year Anniversary, doles out Palliatives to Widows

As part of activities to mark it's One Year anniversary, Iwere Women Prayer Network has staged a one day praise retreat in honour of the Almighty God, on behalf of the people of Warri kingdom.
The programme was held on Wednesday April 5, 2023 at Olu's Palace(Aghofen), Ajamimogha,Warri with lots of Itsekiri women in attendance.
Giving her speech at the epoch ceremony, Pioneer of Itsekiri Women Prayer Network, her Majesty, Olori Atuwatse lll, appreciated the wives of Chiefs of Warri kingdom and all members of the Prayer chain for sustaining the programme.
"God has been so faithful to us as a tribe. We are surrounded by prayers which is the actual meaning of Itsekiri and when women pray, the Heaven's respond.
“I encourage us all not to relent in praying for our land, as our prayers are yielding positive results in Warri kingdom. We need more young females to be actively involve in this programme" the queen averred,” She stated.
On her part, Coordinator of the programme, Bishop (Mrs.) Juliet Olley thanked God Almighty for His Mighty hands of sustenance on the programme.
Bishop Olley who gave a brief of her Salvation life, declared: "I am not ashamed of preaching God's word. I thank our Father, Ogiame Atuwatse lll, the Olu of Warri for always standing behind the women and our mother and queen, Olori Atuwatse lll who is the Captain of the boat.

“Today is one year of our prayers for the betterment of Warri kingdom and we are grateful for everyone who has contributed towards the success of the programme."
Speaking in the same vein, Mrs. Patience Omolubi Newuwumi declared that it was after the emergence of the prayer network that Iwere Women regained confidence, saying that Itsekiri nation has gained global recognition with the enthronement of the Olu of Warri.
Guest Speaker of the occasion, Bishop Paul Anirejuoritse in his sermon, declared that Itsekiri are special people on earth with God ordained King to lead them aright.
“I am so happy that God has taken over Iwere land. Ogiame Atuwatse lll, the Olu of Warri is an instrument in the hands of God,” the Bishop opined.
Bishop Anirejuoritse who took his sermon from the book of Isaiah chapter 11 verse 12 said that the praises of God sharpens the word of God in our lives, saying that satan makes things difficult for people so as to seal God's praises from the lips of people.

Bishop Anirejuoritse who spoke on the theme " A Shout of Praise" averred that barriers clears-off when believers renders a shout of joy to God Almighty.
The event also witnessed a prayer section for Warri kingdom, handled by Bishop (Mrs) Regina Otone and Reverend (Mrs) Queen, where the women prayed earnestly for the progress and prosperity of the land.
Highpoint of the event was the distribution of a well packaged food stuffs to the widows present at the event, an act of kindness from the Pioneer of the Prayer Network, Olori Atuwatse lll.
