The Gala Night with the theme “The role of Diaspora Community in strategic health and education development in the rural communities” is scheduled for July 29, 2023 at Rent Civic Center, Wembley, London.

In his eloquent speech, President of Ugbajo Itsekiri UK, Mr. Mejebi Eyewuoma thanked the Olu of Warri for granting them audience just as he stated that the purpose of the visit is to formally invite the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III and Olori Atuwatse III to Ugbajo Itsekiri UK annual Gala and Charitable Night event.

“We will be very grateful if the Olu of Warri and his beautiful wife, Olori Atuwatse III will accept our humble invitation to be the Royal Father and Mother of the event”, he appealed.

Mr. Eyewuoma who gave a brief history of the group averred “Ugbajo Itsekiri UK is the only Itsekiri Non-Profitable Organization that is Incorporated by the United Kingdom Charity Commission. We are  focused on promoting healthcare and education in Itsekiri rural communities.

“One of our core projects is our Eye Cataract project where we give support to our people back home. We are happy doing this project because of the testimonies and encouragement we are receiving from our people.”

Mr. Eyewuoma stated further that their major motivation of inviting the Warri Monarch to their forthcoming event was the king’s passion in promoting education and development in Warri kingdom, which was evident in his recent visits to some parts of the continent.

Responding, the Olu of Warri, who spoke through one of his Chiefs, Chief Oma Eyewuoma, the Ologbotsere of Warri kingdom, charged members of Ugbajo Itsekiri UK to continue in their charitable works to better the lives of the Itsekiri people, even as he assured them of his presence at the Gala and Charitable Night event.
