Thousand of Itsekiri Women from within and outside the three Warri Local Government Areas, gathered at the Palace of the Olu of Warri in their colourful attires to offer a special prayer and thanks to God for peace and prosperity in Iwereland.

The programme with the theme “Provoking Positive Change in Iwere Land” was held on Wednesday December 6, 2023, with lots of Itsekiri female Ministers in attendance.

Giving her address, founder of Olori and Aya-Ojoye(Chiefs Wives)Iwere Women Prayer Network, Olori Atuwatse III, thanked the women for always coming out tirelessly to pray for the peace and progress of Warri Kingdom, just as she stressed that, “We are not here to entertain ourselves, we are here to have an encounter with God.”

Wives of Chiefs of Warri kingdom led by the Coordinator of the Programme, Bishop (Mrs.) Juliet Olley(5th R-L)

Olori Atuwatse III who was ably represented by the Coordinator of the programme. Bishop (Mrs.) Juliet Olley, averred that when women come together in oneness of heart to pray, God hears them.

She encouraged the spirit filled women not to stop standing in prayers for their families and their dear tribe.

In his powerful sermon, Bishop God’sevidence who took his sermon from the Book of Job Chapter 22 Verse 28 declared that Itsekiris are people of strength even as he admonished Itsekiris not to hate themselves because they are surrounded by lots of enemies.

Bishop God’sevidence who took the women through series of prayers for the king and his people, charged Itsekiris to stop talking bad about their revered king, Ogiame Atuwatse III, CFR, who according to him has been ordained by God to take Itsekiri Nation to a new realm of glory.

He appealed to the women to always speak positively about their children and be a voice of change in Warri Kingdom.
